Client: Volunteering and collabaration with the dev team
Project idea
Noisiv.agency recently completed a collaboration together with software development team, project that aimed to bring together Ukrainians who had to flee their homes due to the ongoing war with russia, and Germans who were willing to provide support to those refugees.
Ukrainians.dach is a service that unites Ukrainians who had to leave their homes and move to Germany due to the war, and Germans who willing to provide support.
Overview

Service designed to help Ukrainian refugees in Germany

This portal was designed to assist those who lost everything as a result of the russian invasion in finding a new roof over their heads.
Task
The goal of the project was to create a platform that simplifies the integration process of Ukrainians in Germany by providing assistance with housing and employment search. Most of the refugees was struggling with a language barrier, so we had to keep it in mind.
The biggest challenges was to create a complex search system, combined on a single platform multiple roles types, such as refugees, volunteers and corporations / small business owners.
Knowing that thousands of people lost their homes, we had very short deadlines, trying to launch as fast as possible, to help those who in need.

Challenge
Research and prototyping
To achieve this goal, our team began by conducting extensive research to understand the needs of both the Ukrainian refugees and the German volunteers, landlords and business owners. We talked to the potential users via Telegram and Facebook groups to find theirs pain points.
Then we have created wireframes and prototypes to develop a user-friendly interface that would meet these needs.

We implemented a straightforward, eye-catching color scheme that was inspired by the colors of the Ukrainian national flag, creating a welcoming environment with soft corners on components, for both Ukrainians and their supporters.
Main features of the platform
To enhance user experience, we integrated a user-friendly search function that allows users to search for housing and job listings. We also implemented a messaging feature that enables communication between Ukrainians and Germans, making it easier for refugees to get the support they need.
Job Search
Advanced filters
One aspect of our platform that fills us with pride is the advanced search and filtering system. This solution empowers users to discover job opportunities that perfectly match their skills, needs, and circumstances. With customizable filters for age, time capacity, and other specifications, like if person is dependent or a student, each user can personalize their experience and language knowledge. These filters enable seamless navigation of the job market, regardless of their field, availability, expertise, or remote, office, or hybrid work preferences.
Results page
After a user applies the filters, our platform instantly provides them with the best matching job options based on their specified criteria. By leveraging the applied filters, the system ensures that users receive highly relevant and tailored job recommendations that align with their preferences and requirements. This personalized approach saves users valuable time and effort, allowing them to focus on pursuing the most suitable opportunities for their unique circumstances.

Also we have implemented a registration feature on our platform, encouraging users to create an account. By doing so, their settings and filters are saved, offering a seamless and personalized experience. Registered users receive notifications for new job opportunities that match their preferences, enhancing their chances of finding the perfect fit. This proactive approach supports users in their job search journey and maximizes their employment prospects.
Vacancy page
Our vacancy page addresses language barriers faced by Ukrainian refugees. Through user interviews, we discovered that many do not speak English or German. To bridge this gap, we integrated a built-in translator. It allows job vacancies written in English or German to be easily understood by all users, providing equal access to employment opportunities. This feature enhances the user experience, expands job options, and promotes smoother integration into the German job market.
Accommodations search and filters
As part of our platform, we have developed an accommodation search feature that allows apartment owners to list their properties with various conditions. . Understanding the special requirements of Ukrainian refugees in Germany, we've included filters and search sorting choices tailored to the local real estate market.  Understanding the nuances of the German real estate market has been critical in providing our consumers with the most appropriate filters and search choices. We have put in the time and effort to become acquainted with the market's complexities, allowing us to create personalized solutions that meet the housing needs of refugees.
Results page
Our accommodation search feature offers flexibility in terms of rental duration and pricing. Owners can offer their apartments for free to refugees for short periods or even for long-term stays at different price points. This diverse range of options ensures that refugees have access to suitable and affordable housing solutions that meet their specific needs.

By integrating this accommodation search feature into our platform, we aim to alleviate the challenges faced by Ukrainian refugees in finding suitable housing in an unfamiliar real estate market. Our commitment to learning the specifics of the German market has enabled us to provide filters and sorting options that enhance the search experience and facilitate efficient housing solutions for refugees.

Through this feature, we empower refugees to find safe and comfortable accommodations, enabling them to focus on their integration journey with peace of mind.

On this page users can discover all the information they need about proposed as a accommodation. From conditions and rental durations to pricing and inclusions, we provide a comprehensive overview of each apartment. Which can help users to find best fitting their needs home with transparent pricing and detailed descriptions, ensuring a comfortable and inclusive living experience.
It was exiting and challenging project. Deadlines were short but in general, we are proud of Ukranians.dach, since it was a collaborative and volunteering, aimed to empower Ukrainian refugees in Germany. Through our efforts we designed great, mindful, user-centered design with user-experience in mind. This project showcases the transformative power of collaboration, technology, and empathy in making a meaningful impact on the lives of Ukrainian refugees, empowering them to integrate, rebuild and find stability in their new environment.
